The first public exposure for CRESTING was at the European Researcher Night (ERN) events in Huddersfield, UK and Pescara, Italy on 29 Sept 2017. As usual, something relating to waste provoked lively input from the visiting public. ERN is an EU-sponsored event to highlight the activities of EU-funded research projects to the public https://ec.europa.eu/research/mariecurieactions/about/european-researchers-night_en . ERN events, which have happened every year from 2005, take place across Europe simultaneously on the last Friday of September. More than 300 events took place in 2017. CRESTING was represented at the ERN hosted by project member Università degli Studi “G. d’Annunzio” in Pescara, Italy. The poster was also part of a display complied by Yorkshire Universities to highlight EU-funded projects in the region at the University of Huddersfield https://www.hud.ac.uk/steam/ .
